MELBOURNE BIDDLECOMBE SOCIETY LUNCHEON
More than 100 people attended the Biddlecombe Society Melbourne luncheon in the Jim Stynes Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday 18 October.
Rebecca Cody, our Principal, was the guest speaker and there were video tributes to Michael Collins Persse and Neil Robertson. Brooke Pithie, (Year 10 student), played the bagpipes in a fitting finale to Michael and Neil, both of whom had had such a significant impact upon the Biddlecombe Society and wider Geelong Grammar School community over many, many years. Boz and Barbara Parsons were presented with photographs commemorating Boz’s informal birthday celebrations to mark his 100th birthday that took place in the Dart Room at Manifold House on Wednesday 12 September.
10 people were awarded their Biddlecombe Society pins by Acting Chairman David Henry and Rebecca Cody.
It is through the kindness of all members of the Biddlecombe Society that the school can look forward to a safer and more secure future.
