THE RICHARD AND JANET SOUTHBY VISITING FELLOWS PROGRAMME
The Visiting Fellows Programme has brought a number of significant Australians, as well as past students, to the School in a speaking capacity. Professor Geoffrey Blainey, Professor Ian Donaldson, Mechai Viravaidya, Rosamund Thomas and Chris Wallace Crabbe, among others, have visited Geelong Grammar School in recent years as a result of the generous donation bestowed by Richard and Janet Southby.
In 2015, two Old Geelong Grammarians who featured in the School's 100 Exceptional Stories project, Drew Berry and Dr Penny Allan, spoke at our Corio campus as part of the Visiting Fellows Programme. In 2016, past president of the International Diabetes Federation, Sir Michael Hirst, discussed public health, obesity and the global diabetes epidemic.
