Geelong Grammar School and the Wholebeing Institute, an educational organisation at the forefront of whole-person wellbeing based in the US, are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration to deliver Australia’s first Certificate in Whole Person Positive Psychology.

Created by Dr Tal Ben-Shahar, one of the field’s leading experts, the course is the first of its kind to be offered in Australia. The yearlong certificate course will involve a combination of onsite and online study in the scientific exploration of optimal human functioning, with the onsite component being held at Geelong Grammar School's Corio Campus.

Students will learn and apply the science of Positive Psychology personally and professionally in leadership, counselling, coaching, parenting or teaching in order to bring about lasting change in individuals and organisations, create healthy personal and professional relationships, build positive emotions and the resilience to deal with painful ones, as well as develop self-regard and grounded optimism. Graduates leave with the tools, practices and research to support an increased capacity for health, strengthened resilience, deeper mindfulness and greater levels of overall wellbeing.

The course will commence in May 2015 and run through to July 2016.The course consists of 10 modules, including two onsite five-day residential immersions.
