Geelong Grammar School has received special recognition as one of 40 schools Australia wide for their outstanding and pioneering work in Positive Education and their commitment to student and staff wellbeing.  

Positive Education was recognised after The Educator Magazine, reviewed a plethora of submissions from schools in all corners of the country, bringing attention to some truly inspiring work being undertaken to equip students with the tools that will help them to face a world vastly different from the one we currently know.

Positive education is said to have transformed the way Geelong Grammar approaches education. It’s a whole-school approach to student and staff wellbeing, bringing together the science of positive psychology with best-practice teaching, and encouraging and supporting individuals and communities to flourish. The school’s Institute of Positive Education employs 15 staff and has trained over 10,000 educators from more than 600 schools and organisations across the globe.  Click here to find out more.
