EXPLORING MINDFULNESS

Enhancing wellbeing and learning

How could mindfulness and meditation improve student wellbeing, and increase focus and creative thinking in your classroom? This practical workshop will explore techniques and strategies to weave mindfulness into everyday practice in schools as well as investigate theory and research which establishes credibility within the curriculum.

Participants will gain an understanding of:

  • Key research and theory which informs how to best use mindfulness to support the wellbeing of students and staff
  • A range of easy to use resources and strategies to support the immediate introduction of mindfulness in their classrooms and across school settings

All participants will receive a comprehensive booklet with examples, research background and sample lesson activities.

AUDIENCE

Primary and secondary teachers who would like to introduce mindfulness practices in their classroom. Participants do not need to have done any prior Positive Education training before attending this course.

ACCREDITATION: 6 professional development hours.

Full rate registration: $295 per person not including GST
