POSITIVE TEACHING PRACTICES

Successful teaching through creating positive connections

 

How can you harness cutting-edge research from the field of positive psychological to enhance your teaching practice? How can you set the tone for positivity in your classroom and form relationships that help your students thrive? This one-day course explores the micro-skills of highly successful teachers, focusing on the student-teacher relationship and how this affects the way that students learn.

Participants will gain an understanding of:

  • The latest science associated with the six domains of Positive Education
  • Their personal strengths as a teacher and how these can be implemented in the classroom
  • How to foster peak engagement and generate flow experiences for students
  • A range of easy to use resources and strategies to allow teachers to harness the power of relationships, positive emotions and a deep sense of purpose
  • A comprehensive booklet with examples, research background and ideas to enhance their teaching practice

AUDIENCE

This course is designed for teachers at all stages of their career who are looking to improve their teaching practice and connections with students. Participants do not need to have done any prior Positive Education training before attending this course. 

ACCREDITATION: 6 professional development hours.

Full rate registration: $295 per person not including GST
