All Year 10 students participate in Careers classes one lesson per week cycle in both semesters. The key diagnostic tool is the Morrisby report, which provides students with valuable insight to aptitudes, interests, personality and learning styles, and then makes a number of related job suggestions. Students then investigate a range of different job areas and identify the specific training and courses required for entry. All students meet with a Careers Practitioner to discuss the findings and recommendations of the Morrisby report. Various online search engines are introduced to assist students explore career and training options, in Victoria, interstate and also overseas. Any required or prerequisite studies can be identified and catered for during subject selection discussions in Term 3. Semester 2 focusses more on how the workplace will look like in the future and developing e-portfolios, resumes and application letters to assist with the transition.
