Throughout the GGS sporting calendar a number of sports have to share the limelight at any given time but, once it hits Term 3, Athletics takes centre stage.

The School has a proud history of producing quality athletes, most notably Olympic bronze medalist and former world record holder John Landy and, more recently, Craig Mottram.

Our athletes compete in a wide range of competitions, both internal and APS, culminating with the School's Athletic's Day which precedes the APS Carnival in late October.

The newly reformed John Landy Club endeavors to further Athletics at Geelong Grammar School through fundraising and support. It is named in recognition of legendary long-distance runner and OGG John Landy.
