Badminton is an inclusive, dynamic and physically demanding sport. It is one of the world's fastest racquet sports, which makes it a popular sport amongst the students.

Although Badminton is classed as a summer sport (the APS competition runs in Terms 1 and 4), it can also be selected as an activity during the winter season. During this time students participate in locally-run competitions.

Training occurs on campus in the Handbury Centre for Wellbeing and combines both on-court coaching and fitness conditioning. The aim is to improve students' agility, strength, power, speed, as well as their technique and tactics. Much emphasis is also placed on the development of team spirit.

Students should provide their own racquets.
