The Cricket programme at Geelong Grammar School aims to create a dynamic and exciting environment, led by head coach of Cricket Damian Shanahan (coach of Geelong in Victorian Premier League.)

Interstate and international tours are an integral part of the programme. In the lead-up to the 2012-13 APS Cricket season a contingent of GGS students embarked on a two-week, 11-match tour of the United Kingdom. The 1st XI travelled to Tasmania during the 2014 summer holidays, resulting in two wins from three games.

All students that participate in Cricket at the School will be exposed to quality coaching with a structured development programme in place, in addition to the opportunity to play on quality turf wickets week-in week-out.

The Tunbridge Club, named after Old Boy Vic Tunbridge, was founded by a group of Old Geelong Grammarians to foster and support the game of cricket at Geelong Grammar School.
