The Cricket programme at Geelong Grammar School aims to create an opportunity for development and to learn how to play the game. This is led by our Director of Cricket and 1st XI coach, Damian Shanahan, along with our Sports Performance Manager. Interstate and international tours are an integral part of the programme. A successful trip to Brisbane was undertaken with two teams in September 2017. This helped prepare the 1st XI team for Term 4, winning two out of three games and being washed out in the fourth. The Year 8 lads also made the trip and enjoyed playing against Brisbane Grammar in great conditions.

All students that participate in Cricket at the School will be exposed to quality coaching with a structured development programme in place, in addition to the opportunity to play on quality turf wickets.
