POSITIVE EDUCATION FOR PARENTS

OVERVIEW

Our parent courses provide a personal and in-depth exploration of the science of wellbeing. Our focus is on personal transformation through teaching practical skills that the science of positive psychology has shown can have a significant and lasting impact on wellbeing.

You will gain a thorough insight into the science of Positive Psychology and experience first-hand many of the concepts taught to your children in Positive Education classes at the School.

The key learning intentions of the course are based upon the Geelong Grammar School Model for Positive Education.

Participants will learn skills that:

- Nurture and sustain positive relationships
- Promote and prolong positive emotion

- Enable and encourage the state of flow
- Cultivate a growth mindset
- Promote a deeper understanding of one’s meaning and purpose
