A NOTE FROM YOUR EDITOR

PPN_Leslie_OBrien

Welcome to your end of year Newsletter and thank you to all those who have contributed to this collective effort and made it possible.

As usual the communiqué reports on our past meetings and functions and advises of future events. The first of our most recent major gatherings was an October evening function convened by the PPN’s Hong Kong Chapter. The second, a ‘local’ gathering, was held in the spring sunshine in Kyneton VIC.  We have included lots of photographs from both these splendid events.

Our Feature article in this edition tells the story of Past Parent and Hong Kong resident Guy Nowell, and his son Christopher, hiking the Timbertop trails. Guy has kindly provided some beautiful photographs of this grand muscle testing and bonding exercise.

There has been considerable interest in the work of the Habla family and their innovative and environmentally significant brick making technology. First featured in the June 2016 newsletter this edition provides you with an update on the work of Gilbert, Janie and Peter Habla. There is indeed an amazing wealth of talent in the past parents’ community.

We welcome inputs from Past Parents to this, your Newsletter. Indeed we need your inputs, whether these are photographs of particular events whilst your children were at school, your thoughts about now being a past parent or any other matter that might be of interest to the wider community.

Should you not want to continue to receive a copy of this digital publication, please advise Iga Bajer by emailing supportgroups@ggs.vic.edu.au

Best wishes to you and your family for the coming festive season and, for 2018, may we all be the best we can be.
