ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

Applications are currently closed and will re-open for 2021 in November 2019.

Geelong Grammar School fosters academic excellence by offering students with strong academic skills the opportunity to participate in our challenging curriculum.

Academic Scholarships are offered for:

• Corio Campus – New students entering Year 10
Current students entering Year 10
• Timbertop – New and current students entering Year 9

ELIGIBILITY AND INTERVIEWS

Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or holders of an Australian Permanent Resident Visa, who are entering the relevant year level. Full-fee paying students or Temporary Residents are ineligible to apply.

WHAT DOES AN ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP COVER?

Each year the School awards a number of academic scholarships of up to 50% of the tuition and day or boarding fees; the actual percentage offered depends on the performance of the individual candidate in both the examination and, if shortlisted, the subsequent scholar's interview. Awards of over 50% are made in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, parents will be asked to complete a financial assessment form.

The scholarship awarded applies to the relevant Geelong Grammar School fee, but not to uniforms, private music lessons, text books, excursions, sundry charges or other personal items.
