Academic scholarships are awarded to students of exceptional academic potential who demonstrate excellence across a broad range of disciplines.

To be eligible for an Academic scholarship at Geelong Grammar School, applicants must be:

Student selection is based on academic examination results and, if shortlisted, subsequent interviews.

Successful candidates will be eager to participate in the wide range of opportunities available at the School, respecting the philosophy and rules that govern the School.

  • Up to 50% of the day or boarding fees; may vary depending on the individual.
  • Awards of over 50% are made in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, parents will be asked to complete a financial assessment form.
  • The scholarship awarded applies to the relevant Geelong Grammar School day or boarding fee, but not to uniforms, private vocal or instrumental lessons, textbooks, excursions, sundry charges or other personal items.
