Impact Across GGS
Philanthropic support through the Foundation has touched every dimension of School life.
Access and Opportunity
Donors have transformed lives through bursaries and scholarships ensuring that talent and potential, not circumstance, shape access to Geelong Grammar School for the benefit of the entire school community.
Teaching, Learning and Wellbeing
Strategic philanthropy has enabled innovation and excellence through initiatives such as Positive and Creative Education, writers in residence, visiting fellows, staff study awards, and sustainability leadership – enriching learning and supporting staff and student wellbeing.
Heritage, Culture and Story
The Foundation has preserved and celebrated the School’s heritage through projects including the Michael Collins Persse Archives Centre, publications such as Geelong Grammarians at the Great War and the J. R. Darling Biography, and the establishment of the much-loved Geelong Grammarian (Light Blue), ensuring the stories of GGS are protected and shared.
Community and Place
From support for living and learning spaces on every campus to the initiation of concerts, lectures and gatherings such as the Tower Luncheon, parent dinners, and the J. R. Darling Oration, the Foundation has activated the generosity of donors to strengthen the places and connections that bring the GGS community together.
Philanthropic Partnership
Central to the Foundation’s success is a deep partnership with donors. A commitment to thoughtful stewardship, strong governance, and professional fundraising leadership has ensured that every gift is managed with care and directed toward lasting impact.
