Our libraries are the heart of our campuses, where a love of reading is cultivated and nurtured. Where our senior students pore over research. And where our entire community continues to preserve history and connect with GGS.

The reimagining of these spaces will elevate them beyond the traditional role of libraries.

With the support of our generous community we will create exceptional, exciting and adaptable learning spaces for the entire community.

β€œIn every society, everything blooms from the Humanities, but their importance often gets whittled away. Having first-class libraries and learning resources in this area is important for protection of the Humanities.”
Vanessa Mahon, Current Parent/Deputy Chair, Geelong Grammar School Foundation

At Corio, we envision a Library that is multipurpose – supporting contemporary learning with evening and weekend study, and music recitals; as well as fostering closer collaboration between departments for innovative cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary teaching.

At Timbertop, the Library is central to the Timbertop ethos: the separation from television, mobile phones, social media, the internet and computers, which reorients our students to reading, writing letters, creative endeavours and conversation. It is a space for learning and its upgrade will provide our students with opportunities for increased flexibility to collaborate and pursue project-based learning.

The vision for the Library is as a catalyst project for the renewal of the Timbertop campus.
