Toorak Tot Playgroup is for families with toddlers and young learners (18 months to 3 years) to spend time together in our warm and nurturing space ‘The Pottery.’
Led by our Director of Early Learning, Simone Carter, a dedicated and experienced early learning teacher and leader, our Playgroup offers a relaxed yet engaging setting for you and your child to connect and actively engage in rich and varied learning experiences.
In each session, both children and parents will participate in a variety of play and learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors. Throughout the term, specialist activities such as creative art, storytelling and library time, and music and movement will rotate to enrich the learning journey. A shared morning tea is an integral part of each session.
As your child explores and learns through play, they’ll develop crucial social and practical skills, laying a strong foundation for their journey into early education. Meanwhile, for parents, the Toorak Tot Playgroup provides an invaluable opportunity to forge connections with other families and staff, immerse themselves in the welcoming community here at Geelong Grammar School’s Toorak Campus, and gain insight into our approach to teaching and learning within our Early Learning programme.

Thursday 9:00am – 10:30am
The Toorak Tot Playgroup meets weekly during term time.
Parents stay with their child during the 90-minute session.

- Term 2, 2024: Thursday 18 April – Thursday 20 June (9 sessions)
- Term 3, 2024: Thursday 18 July – Thursday 19 September (10 sessions)
- Term 4, 2024: Thursday 10 October – Thursday 28 November (9 sessions)
Location
Our Toorak Tot Playgroup is run in ‘The Pottery’, our Early Learning environment situated on Wallace Avenue, on the western pocket of our Toorak Campus.
Age requirements
The Playgroup has been designed to meet the unique developmental needs of children aged 18 months to three years. Children must be eighteen months of age to be able to participate in our Toorak Tot Playgroup programme.
Costs
This is a free programme for families. Parents are asked to bring morning tea and a drink bottle for their child during the session.
