Awards of over 50% are made in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, parents will be asked to complete a financial assessment form.

Following the submission of an application, the Music Department will be in contact to arrange an audition for the candidate, during the month of February (prior to the examination), to be held at the Corio Campus.

The support of an accompanist, where required, will be arranged by Geelong Grammar School on the candidate's behalf. This will incur a fee of $50. Details of payment will be provided by the Music Department.

Where circumstance prevents a live audition (preferred), a remote audition will be made available through Zoom. Candidates undertaking a remote audition through Zoom will need to use an external USB condenser microphone (high quality) and will need to ensure that both ‘high fidelity mode’ and ‘stereo mode’ are switched on, click here for a tutorial. These settings have been specifically designed by Zoom for instrumental lessons and auditions and are crucial to ensure an equitable audition process.

Please Note: should on-campus testing be unable to proceed due to Covid-19 restrictions, you will be advised of alternative arrangements.

Examinations will be held at the Corio Campus on Saturday 20 February, 2021.
