Successful candidates will be eager to participate in the wide range of opportunities available at the School, respecting the philosophy and rules that govern the School.

  • Up to 50% of the tuition and day or boarding fees; may vary depending on the individual.
  • Awards of over 50% are made in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, parents will be asked to complete a financial assessment form.
  • The scholarship awarded applies to the relevant Geelong Grammar School tuition and day or boarding fee, but not to uniforms, private lessons, textbooks, excursions, sundry charges or other personal items.
  • Auditions are in February, prior to the academic examination.

Support of an accompanist, where required, is arranged by the School on the candidate’s behalf and will incur a fee of $50. Details of payment will be provided by the Music Department.

Where circumstance prevents a live audition (preferred), a remote audition will be made available through Zoom. Candidates undertaking a remote audition through Zoom will need to use an external USB condenser microphone (high quality) and will need to ensure that both ‘high fidelity mode’ and ‘stereo mode’ are enabled. Further details will be provided by the Music Department.
