For 170 years, the generosity of our community has built, strengthened and sustained our School, ensuring we can deliver on our promise of an exceptional education for future generations.

On Wednesday 25 June, 542 donors together contributed $1.17million to advance Geelong Grammar School through Giving Day.

As a testament to our community’s unwavering support and commitment to providing access to an exceptional education for all deserving students, 70% of gifts were directed towards scholarships. These funds will continue to foster a diverse and inclusive student cohort, enriching the entire school community and preparing students to be courageous, compassionate, and curious leaders in our complex world.

The Building Fund was well supported on Giving Day, ensuring continued advancement of the School’s physical infrastructure and facilities. The Building Fund plays a vital role in our commitment to deliver modern, well-equipped living and learning environments to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world, fostering innovation and critical thinking.

Gifts also supported the library fund, enabling the ongoing development and renewal of these vital centres of learning and creativity, and sport and other programmes, which reinforce our holistic approach to education.

The success of Giving Day was built upon the momentum of previous years, preserving our 170-year history of giving and underscoring the collective power and generosity of Old Geelong Grammarian’s, Clyde and Hermitage Old Girls, parents, grandparents, staff and friends.

Every gift, regardless of its size, played a crucial role and contributes to the enduring legacy of giving at Geelong Grammar School.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who participated in Giving Day, acknowledging the vital role of this support in honouring our past and shaping our future; providing transformative opportunities and fostering a vibrant learning environment for generations of students to come.
