Geelong Grammar is an Anglican School established by five Anglican priests. This Anglican identity continues to be foundational, and one that welcomes students from a variety of Christian denominations and other faith traditions.

Choosing to be a part of Geelong Grammar School is to choose to live and learn in a community where Christian values of love, forgiveness, compassion, hope, inclusion, justice and diversity are central to our character and present in all that we do.

Whilst not all parents will share the Christian faith, we ask they encourage their child to approach Christian teaching and Christian precepts receptively and openly, and that they attend special family worship services each year together with their child. We believe that everyone can learn from the values taught in this sacred space and invite students to approach the Chapel experience with openness and curiosity.

All students at the Corio Campus are required to attend a Chapel service at least twice a week- once mid-week and once on Sunday. The services vary from traditional to more contemporary in style. Our hope is that the teaching of Christian values are relevant and applicable to daily life on each of our four campuses. These services also provide an opportunity for stillness and reflection.
