We are expanding the horizons of our Corio Campus with new, purpose-built facilities for our youngest learners — a Junior School and an Early Learning Centre (ELC).
Uniquely situated among native grasslands, trees and wetlands, the Junior School will welcome primary-aged learners from Prep to Year 4. The ELC, to be located on the western side of the campus within The Estate, will offer both a three-year-old and a four-year-old kindergarten programme in its own dedicated space.
Both are scheduled to open in Term 2, 2026. For more details, please refer to the Junior School FAQ and ELC FAQ documents.
Our vision is to create a unique learning environment for young people that embodies the GGS educational pillars of Adventure Education, Positive Education, and Creative Education through thoughtfully designed, nature-based spaces.
Our 230-hectare Corio Campus provides the perfect natural setting to cultivate rich learning opportunities, where key elements of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) are deeply embedded.
Here, our young learners can explore, reflect, discover, observe, climb, contribute, touch, smell, play, and thrive in their abundant natural learning environment.
The Junior School community, including students and families, will enjoy access to the exceptional facilities of the Corio Campus, such as the Handbury Centre for Wellbeing with its swimming pool and indoor courts, as well as tennis and hockey courts and sporting ovals.
They will also have access to The School of Performing Arts and Creative Education (SPACE), where creativity and expression thrive. Additionally, students will have opportunities to visit and experience historic landmarks such as the Chapel of All Saints, Cloisters, and the iconic Clocktower. These cherished sites allow students to connect with the rich history and traditions of GGS, fostering a deep appreciation for the school’s heritage and enduring values.
While connected to the wider campus and its rich array of resources, the Junior School will cultivate its own unique identity and sense of place, with consideration to meaningful integration and independence.
More than 60 years ago our School introduced the concept of “Adventure Education” through the creation of Timbertop. We recognise the transformative power that learning through and with nature can bring and understand the lifelong – often life-changing – lessons that can be learned from this.
We are excited to bring Adventure Education to our younger learners and the entire Corio Campus student community so that the seeds of curiosity, persistence, creativity, risk-taking, and resilience can naturally be sown.
It is through an educational experience embedded in nature that we can also develop environmentally-minded citizens, who are aware of the profound interconnectedness of all things.
One of the defining features of Bostock House is the friendly, inclusive learning environment, where every student is supported to experiment, make mistakes, take risks safely, and in turn, enjoy a strong sense of belonging and ownership in their learning.
As we transition to the new Junior School at Corio Campus, we are committed to preserving this nurturing culture. Our educators will continue to support each child’s unique needs and talents, ensuring compassion, inclusivity and a sense of belonging remain at the heart of the Junior School experience.
