Parents in partnership.

We believe that quality relationships are primary to transformational learning experiences. The quality and authenticity of these relationships gives us our distinctive character and cultivates a culture of inclusivity and connectedness. We also know that the partnership between parents, staff and students provides for the best learning outcomes.

There are many ways that parents ‘near and far’ can be connected to School life and we warmly welcome every parent to be involved in their child’s Geelong Grammar adventure. Each campus hosts several social events throughout the year, including cocktail nights, picnics, luncheons, and dinners, offering many opportunities for parents and families to form friendships and connection.

'Friends of' Support Groups

Through our campus specific ‘Friends of Groups’, parents and friends are warmly invited to be involved in our School community. These groups are fundamental to nurturing a continued sense of belonging and connectedness while strengthening community friendships and support.  Throughout the year, each ‘Friends of Group’ hosts various social events, special events and fundraising which all parents and friends are encouraged to be involved in.

Sports Support Groups

We are in the fortunate position, due to the passion and commitment of our current and past parents, to have thriving support groups for many of the school sports. Parental involvement in the sports programme plays an important part of our school community, and we encourage all parents to get involved in supporting their child in their sporting pursuits.

Past Parents Network

The Past Parents’ Network makes it possible to keep friendships fresh and alive and retain the great depth of wisdom and experience that resides among the parent group. The Network provides a valuable vehicle to maintain links, share news, follow our children’s lives, occasionally meet face to face and keep in touch with the School Community.
